Plain said, XPLORA Kids is a GPS-phone for children, designed as a smartwatch.
The vision behind XPLORA Kids is to provide your child with an easy-to-use, safe phone, without any unnecessary distractions.
Here's a quick overview over XPLORA's features:
- 60 hours standby
- 1.3″ (128x128) Color OLED screen with Gorilla glass (the same material as used in iPhones)
- weight: 51g
- built-in GPS, uses additionally WiFi and mobile triangulation, so that it can calculate it's position even indoors
- Emergency-button: If pressed, the watch will send its current position and call the guardians, until one of the guardians answers
- Uses O2's 3G-network, so it will work wherever there is coverage in the UK and the EU. You can check the coverage here.
Up to two guardians can administrate XPLORA-watch through the parental app and check the watch's position. You can add up to 12 contacts, as well as notifications and safe zones.
By default, only approved contacts can communicate with the watch, be it by texts or calls.
The watch is CE-approved, which means it has been tested for battery safety, non-toxicity of the materials, radiation and so on.
